About Dr. Zayas...
Faustino J. Zayas, PhD, earned his Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Alliant International University, where his research examined the connection between attachment and post-surgical pain management. He also holds a Master of Arts in Psychology from Brandman University, specializing in Marriage and Family Therapy and Professional Clinical Counseling, which enriched his understanding of relational dynamics and systemic therapeutic approaches.
Dr. Zayas has been a dedicated leader in the field, serving as Head of Service at Qualify Family Services, where he championed trauma-informed care for foster youth and led multidisciplinary teams focused on holistic healing. At the Gary Cannon Psychological Services Center, he provided compassionate therapy and assessments to diverse populations, including justice-involved individuals. Additionally, during his training at the VA Central California Health Care System, Dr. Zayas provided mental health support to veterans, offering evidence-based short-term psychotherapy and integrated care alongside a multidisciplinary team.
