Steve Castro, Psy.D. earned his B.A. in Psychology from California State University, Fresno, and his doctorate degree from Alliant International University, Fresno. He met state licensing requirements in 2014. Prior to Toribio Psychological Services, Dr. Castro worked at the Sullivan Center for Children for over ten years, where he served as Interim Clinical Director. 

 

Other previous experience includes working in the Psychological Service Department at Fresno City College, where he treated the student population. In addition, he has worked at the Psychological Service Center here in Fresno, where he provided services to a vast population. He also performed psychological assessments with incarcerated individuals at the Fresno County Juvenile Justice Center.  Dr. Castro has participated in multiple research projects throughout the community, and has worked with diverse populations. He completed his internship and post-doctoral fellowship at the Sullivan Center.

 

Dr. Castro has extensive experience in the areas of individual therapy, group/family therapy, and psychological assessments, and specializes in the treatment of severe mental illness in children and adolescence.
