Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Testing Psychologist to join our team. As a Testing Psychologist, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive psychological assessments to evaluate cognitive abilities, emotional functioning, personality traits, and behavioral patterns. You will work closely with clients of all ages to administer and interpret various psychological tests, gather relevant information through interviews and observations, and provide insightful recommendations for treatment planning and intervention strategies. As a training program, Toribio Psychological Services is dedicated to fostering the professional growth of its trainees and to delivering high-quality mental health services to the community it serves. You will have the opportunity to supervise trainees, further enriching your experience. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Administer and score a wide range of psychological tests, including but not limited to intelligence tests, personality assessments, neuropsychological batteries, and projective measures.

  • Conduct thorough clinical interviews and gather relevant background information from clients, families, and collateral sources.

  • Analyze test results and clinical data to formulate accurate diagnoses and treatment recommendations.

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, therapists, educators, and other healthcare professionals, to develop comprehensive treatment plans tailored to the unique needs of each client.

  • Provide clear and concise written reports summarizing assessment findings, diagnostic impressions, and recommendations for intervention.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of assessment procedures, test results, and client progress in compliance with ethical and legal standards.

  • Stay abreast of current research and best practices in psychological assessment and testing methodologies.

  • Opportunity to supervise licensed and unlicensed trainees.

 

Qualifications:

  • Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology or related field from an APA-accredited program.

  • Licensed or license eligible as a psychologist in the state of California.

  • Extensive training and experience in psychological assessment and testing across the lifespan is a plus.

  • Proficiency in administering and interpreting a variety of psychological tests and assessment instruments.

  • Strong clinical skills in diagnostic formulation, case conceptualization, and treatment planning.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport with diverse populations and collaborate effectively with colleagues.

  • Commitment to upholding ethical standards and maintaining client confidentiality.

  • Demonstrated cultural competence and sensitivity to issues of diversity and inclusion.

  • Prior experience working in a clinical or healthcare setting preferred.
