Dr. Mattes, Ph.D. earned her B.A. in Psychology and Chicano Latino Studies from California
State University, Fresno. She earned her master’s degree and doctoral degree in clinical
Forensic psychology from California School of Forensic Studies, Alliant International University,
Fresno. Dr. Mattes has provided mental health services to children, adolescents, and adults for
over 6 years. She specializes in the treatment of adolescents and has served as a mental health
provider for juvenile detention centers, adult prisons, adult jails, community mental health facilities,
psychiatric out-patient centers, and addiction treatment programs. Dr. Mattes 
conducts therapy and assessments in Spanish, as this is her first language and is fully
bilingual.
