Amanda Mortimer, Ph.D., earned her doctorate in Psychology and Neural Science from Indiana University in 2004.  She completed her internship and postdoctoral training with Kaiser Permanente, Fresno, Adult Psychiatry.  Dr. Mortimer has a broad set of clinical interests and experience, and is particularly enthusiastic about empirically validated treatments.  She is fascinated by how human brains and experiences interact to make us all the enthrallingly complex puzzles that we are.  Her expertise lies with treating adults.  Particular areas of interest include helping people with emotional dysregulation and trauma survival and recovery, depression, anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and working with individuals and families to address autism spectrum disorder and dementias, including Alzheimer's disease.
